| In April of 2003 I traveled to Venezuela to carry out research on the phylogeny of the estuarine fish genus Cynoscion (Teleostei: Sciaenidae). This was a collaborative effort with Orangel Aguilera of the Universidad Nacional Experimental Fransisco de Miranda, Coro. I spent a week traveling along Venezuela's beautiful coast between the cities of Maracaibo and Punto Fijo; it was quite an experience. Here are some pictures of the trip. |
