I'm Windsor Aguirre, a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Ecology and Evolution at SUNY, Stony Brook. I am primarily interested in evolutionary biology, especially the processes of evolutionary diversification and speciation. My work presently focuses on the evolution of three spine stickleback fish, Gasterosteus aculeatus, in the Cook Inlet region of Alaska.
I also work on the evolutionary biology of neotropical fishes especially in Ecuador and northwestern South America. Other interests include the origin and structure of communities, and the ecology, distribution, and conservation of fishes and threatened marine vertebrates of the eastern tropical Pacific.
