Directions to Bates House, Setauket by Cars
- Exit Stony Brook campus and proceed North on Nicolls Rd.
- At the end of Nicolls Rd. turn right onto NY25A.
- Proceed about 1/2 mile and turn left at first light onto North Country Rd. (right would be Bennetts Rd.)
- Drive about a mile on this Road. Eventually it becomes Main St.
- The Setauket Mill Pond will appear on the left. When Main St.
approaches a 'T' take a right (this is still Main St.) and then turn
left (North) after a few houses onto a small, inclining road into a
wooded area, which is Bates Road. Be sure not to take Dyke Rd.,
which intersects Main at the same place as Bates but goes Northeast.
- Proceed through the trees (the road is narrow and kind of rough) and
you will see the Bates House on the left and the parking lot beyond.
