Julius Fisher
Julius graduated from Bard College in 2007 with a BA in biology and moved back to Southern California, working in various biotech laboratories, including chemistry, microbiology, and clinical molecular diagnostics. Since he started work in the Rest Lab, his interest in the molecular mechanisms behind evolutionary processes has developed, and he is currently fascinated with the interaction of genes and environment and this interaction's overall contribution to an organism's fitness. How this information is extracted, quantified, and analyzed is also of interest, as he researches various molecular techniques and computational tools in the Rest Lab. In the Fall of 2011, he will be joining Stony Brook University's Ecology and Evolution Department as a doctoral student.
