We focus on the effects of environmental change on evolution and conservation. Active research projects include reconstructing the history of Caribbean mammals, studying the links between landscape change and the emergence and re-emergence of vector-borne diseases  in Amazonia, and quantifying risks to Andean biodiversity from the expansion of illicit crops.
