How to Setup Mail Rules for MS Outlook

  1. First, check if you have Junk E-mail folder. MS Outlook has this folder by default.
If it doesn't exist, create it by right clicking on 'Personal Folders' and selecting 'New Folder....'.

  2. Second, create a rule to move SPAMs to the 'Junk E-mail' folder.
Select 'Tools' -> 'Rules and Alerts....'.

  3. Click on 'Move messages with spacific words in the subject to a folder' in 'Step 1' field.

  4. Click on 'specific words', and type in 'Spam', 'Virus', and 'Blocked' in 'Search Text' window.

  5. Click on 'specified', and select 'Junk E-mail' folder in 'Rules and Alerts' window.

  6. Click on 'Finish' after making sure you have correct definitions for 'specific words' and 'specified folder'.

  7. Click 'OK' to apply this rule.
Congratulations! Now, you have a rule to move all junk mails to the 'Junk E-mail' folder.
